Denim Shorts & Blazer - The Perfect Weekend Look

It feels like summer just started and is already drawing to an end. If you were like me, you made the best of this season of 2020 because, Whew, Chile! It has been a roller coaster. I find comfort in reaching inside my closet and pulling out pieces I haven’t worn in a while and making them work together. That’s how I got myself into this gorgeous look. It was almost like getting dressed in the dark but the outcome was better than expected.

White Mules

Before we even get into the details of this style I am just going to rip the band-aid off quickly so it won’t hurt as much. I purchased these bomb Prisha Mules in white from Just Fab in 2018 and they have not been restocked since. Such a sad case because I really want them in black. I did some searching and found some super cute alternatives that you can add to your already luxurious shoe collection.

Now let’s get into this entire outfit from top to bottom. Both blazer and denim shorts are from my favorite place to online shop for my curves, Fashion Nova. The Celine Blazer in Mustard can be worn during any season but if you want to rock it in the summer, I suggest wearing it with a tank or sleeveless top. The material isn’t super heavy but if you plan on being outside in the heat, you may get a little toasty. Just in case you don’t see yourself spending $33 dollars for a blazer from Fashion Nova, I linked one similar from Forever 21 below.

My favorite part of this outfit besides the Mules is the Feelin’ It longline denim shorts. I wouldn’t exactly say they are longline because it is giving semi-daisy dukes in the front. It’s a definite party in the front and modest mall visit in the back. These high-waisted denim shorts are perfect if you like showing a little thigh but not too much of your backside.

Sliding on a simple solid color or white tank top sets the look off. I am wearing a zip-front tank bodysuit to help keep me tucked in and neat as I go about my day. Adorned with some gold accessories and a faux leather brown belt, I am ready to step out like a businesswoman with an urge to brunch with hella mimosas.
